Very little. This place is a disaster. Predatory. Unfriendly. Dishonest. I don't know how they get away with this.
Everything, especially the staff. Players from opposing teams stay at this hotel when they come to play the Mets at Citi Field. It's February and they are usually empty. Checking in the women who worked the front desk staring back at me like deer in the headlights, appalled that Booked.net was generating so much business for them (they finally lowered their room rate to something that was competitive with the other national chains in that area, and it got them so much business they actually had to work for a change). They did everything they could to get me to cancel the reservation, which I should have done when I got the bad vibes at the desk upon checking in. They were unfriendly and unhelpful. They refused to accept cash for an 'incidentals' deposit, overcharged for the room, fraudulently charging a room related expense to a 3rd party's credit card, when the 3rd party was not a guest at the hotel and did not authorize the charge. The hotel has a lot of security personnel who are unneeded in off season when the Mets are not playing and there is nothing going on at Tennis Center. Idk perhaps they are afraid they will get laid off in the cold weather, so they act aggressively towards guests. They clearly weren't anticipating the volume of guests that the listing on Booked.net created for them. LOL. I still paid 150.00 for a room, which is a lot. But to them, it's not nearly enough and the vibe was that I was the kind of riff-raff that the normal rate of 350.00 a night keeps out, thanks very much. Terrible. Stay away.
The king size bed is very comfortable. TV station choices were very good. The room was cleaned quickly while we were at breakfast. When we had issues with the room, help was dispatched immediately.
Parking was awful, have never run into this in prior stays. (There was a special event at CitiField.) The hotel would not guarantee me a paid spot even though I was a guest. I figured out a workaround, but it required me to park on the street and take the subway instead of drive. The bad news was that our a/c unit rattled -- at about 10 p.m. -- and we needed three visits from the HVAC person in total that night to get it addressed. The good news was that in the third visit he replaced the unit in about 20 minutes flat and the new one worked great!
Great location for going to mets games! The restaurant/bar in the hotel is awesome great for met fans!!
Great room comfy bed great pool and sitting area outside the pool
Took my son to the Mets/Dodgers series and this is a great location if your attending the game. Great clean hotel. Roomy for a NY hotel. Nice restaurant and bar.
Only thing I didn't really like and it had nothing to do with the hotel itself is the area. Just nothing really to do and food choices are either Mexican or Asian and unfortunately I don't like either.
Restaurant was good, prices were good also. Kids loved the pool. Outdoor space was nice.
No continental breakfast. Breakfast was expensive in general and for the amount of food you got.
Mainly the location
No proper support from staff, smelly rooms, no breakfast options, no courtesy to guest shown by hotel staff.
The hotel staff was accommodating and the bar down stairs was one of the best sports bars I have been to in a hotel.
Very close to where our event location was.
Not really any landmarks around the area and getting around NYC is a pain if you're driving. Subway was pretty far as well.
My room wasn't clean. It smelled of smoke. The bathroom was not clean and the room smelled dingy and old. Lastly, the room next to was having a party at 1am in the morning.
Please see above,
The advertisement said the booking would include breakfast and parking. But it did not, added expenses were not appreciated.
The location was ideal for my family to walk to citifield. Breakfast was good and our server was a fantastic gentlemen who was friendly and very informative.
Rooms are very small...to be expected in Queens
Location was perfect, I went to the Mets baseball game which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We'll definitely stay again.
Water pressure was low
Too expensive for what is offered.
I loved the bar and restaurant conveniently located downstairs. The room was very clean and tidy! There were many comp products and the staff was very friendly and welcome. The location was nice being across from citi field. We signed up for their membership and got late checkout and that was amazing! This place will be our new random weekend getaway from Brooklyn =)
